With Spring Break just around the corner, the kids will be out of school for a whole week. We know that planning can be stressful, and we know that it can be difficult to find a nice, family friendly beach during Spring Break, which is why we’ve gone ahead and put together an excellent list of places to visit with your family this season!
Remember to check all travel restrictions in your own area and the area you want to travel to before planning your trip. And if you’re not planning on going anywhere this year we totally get it, we aren’t either - just save this blog for later!
Hilton Head, SC
Check out Hilton Head – it’s a great place for families with younger kiddos because of all of the great activities it has stocked up. You may want to visit The Salty Dog Cafe, they have a super fun kid’s menu! And after lunch (or, let’s be honest, after a nap) you can take the family on a pirate adventure! Or, if you’re just looking for the beaches, they’ve got that too! Check them out here.
Oh, and our favorite place to grab coffee (and our favorite, boozy coffee)? Carolina Coffee and Crumbs!

Cocoa Beach, FL
Cocoa Beach is also a neat spot to take the family this Spring. You can start by checking out some of their places to stay on this helpful site. After you’ve found a cozy place to stay for the night then you can check out the pier, or, if the pier is too busy, maybe go for a kayaking tour. End the day with a nice Cajun meal, too. The family will love Cocoa Beach!
And, once again, we can’t forget the essentials; our favorite coffee shop (that also has great food) is Cafe Surfinista. Their beans are local and organic!

Laguna Beach, CA
The Spring is really one of the nicest times to hit California. You can catch the best of the warm weather without the worst of the sweltering heat! 1,000 Step Beach has those amazing California beaches, but also some hidden sea caves and pools – see if you can find any with the family. If you want to keep with the outdoors while it is so nice, then you can check out the area conservation park, too. You can also check in on all of the local restaurants options in light of COVID-19 restrictions.
And...our favorite coffee shop is BLKdot Coffee. Their iced Vietnamese coffee is the BEST.
